Forbes studies that rising inflation and falling inventory costs have collectively price members of the Forbes 400 US rich list $500 billion in 2022 with tech tycoons struggling the largest losses.

Jeff Bezos (price $151 billion) misplaced $50 billion, Google’s Larry Page and Sergey Brin (price a collective $182b) misplaced virtually $60b, Mark Zuckerberg (price $57.7b) misplaced $76.8b, and Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey (price $4.5b) misplaced $10.4b. Former Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer (price $83b) misplaced $13.5b whereas his ex-boss Bill Gates (price $106b) misplaced $28b, albeit $20b of that by way of charity donations.
