One of the scariest, most influential horror franchises of all-time is making a mega blockbuster comeback. The New York Times experiences that David Gordon Green (the brand new Halloween movies) will write and direct a reboot/sequel wherein Hamilton’s Leslie Odom Jr. performs the daddy of a possessed woman. Desperate for assist, he seeks out Chris MacNeil (Ellen Burstyn), who was the mom within the 1973 authentic. It’s the primary time she’s returned to the franchise.
The deal between Universal and Peacock is reportedly price upwards of $400 million and can see the primary movie debut in theaters late 2023. Two sequels will then observe, every of which debuting solely on Peacock.
