In a probable bid to capitalize on the rising recognition of Dungeons & Dragons, Deadline reports that Paramount has picked up a live-action Dungeons & Dragons sequence for its Paramount Plus streaming service. The sequence is about to be eight episodes lengthy, with Rawson Marshall Thurber, the author and director of Red Notice (Netflix’s large motion hit starring Gal Gadot, Dwayne Johnson, and Ryan Reynolds), writing the pilot script and directing the primary episode.
This new Dungeons & Dragons present apparently had curiosity from “multiple buyers,” in line with Deadline. To me, that’s not too stunning; the sport has turn into more and more standard due to exhibits like Stranger Things and Critical Role (I personally obtained keen on it due to The Adventure Zone). And there’ll probably be much more eyes on the sport very quickly due to the celebrity-filled Dungeons & Dragons film, Honor Among Thieves, which is about to debut on March 31st, so Paramount might have lots of people tuning in to this upcoming live-action present.
The new sequence may also make Paramount Plus an much more interesting subscription service for nerds, as it should be part of a lineup that already contains Halo (which is getting a second season), Star Trek, and Nickelodeon hits like Avatar: The Last Airbender.
