If you’re actually a cheapskate, take into account buying a balloon trip to the “edge” of house. And by edge we imply a 3rd of the best way there. Balloons can’t truly go into house (duh), in any other case our ancestors would’ve floated previous the magnetosphere through the Napoleonic period. But balloons can go very, very excessive, presumably to heights reaching 20 miles (30 km) above sea stage. From approach up there, the blackness of house is clearly seen, as is the curvature of Earth.

Two startups, Space Perspective and World View, are hoping to ship paying prospects on balloon rides to the stratosphere, and for a fraction of the price of truly going to house. Space Perspective is charging $125,000 for the six-hour journey, and it plans to launch its first trip in 2024, whereas World View plans to cost $50,000 for the same providing. Space Perspective lately unveiled the inside design of its disingenuously named Spacecraft Neptune, revealing a completely stocked bar, bucket seats, and customised temper lighting.
