Few Marvel films have had as many rumors surrounding them as Doctor Strange within the Multiverse of Madness. At some level, in some nook of the web, principally any Marvel character you may think about was rumored to be showing. Now that the movie is in theaters, we noticed that a few of that really got here true. The largest rumor didn’t although, however there’s extra to the story.

Arguably the most important rumor surrounding the brand new movie directed by Sam Raimi and starring Benedict Cumberbatch and Elizabeth Olsen was that Tom Cruise was going to seem as Iron Man. Now, clearly, this doesn’t make a ton of sense. Robert Downey Jr. performed Iron Man and the character is useless now, proper? But in a film about infinite plains of existence, what does “sense” even imply? Anything is feasible. Plus, blurry spy images even circulated on-line that made followers certain that Cruise could be the brand new Tony Stark, not less than in a single multiverse.

In an interview with Rolling Stone, Multiverse of Madness author Michael Waldron confirms that was by no means going to occur.
