Short-video sharing app TikTok on Wednesday launched a pilot programme that lets customers add video resumes for US-based jobs starting from a WWE Superstar to a senior knowledge engineer at Shopify or a artistic producer at TikTok itself.
Under the “TikTok Resumes” programme, firms together with Chipotle Mexican Grill and Target will settle for video resumes for openings from July 7 via July 31.
Used broadly by Gen Z and millennials, the platform will let customers apply for entry degree jobs to skilled positions with movies bearing the hashtag #TikTokResumes, the corporate mentioned in a blog post.
The United States has been going through a scarcity of prepared employees as labour demand returns after the pandemic, fueled by fast vaccinations towards the coronavirus.
Known for trend-setting dance movies, TikTok has seen an increase in profession and job-related content material below hashtags like #CareerTok. Companies together with relationship app Bumble and Facebook let customers community and seek for jobs, however Microsoft’s LinkedIn stays the go-to social media website for professionals.
