Google’s much-anticipated fall detection for Pixel Watch has reportedly been noticed by some customers. Though the tech big is but to formally announce the rollout of the characteristic, nevertheless it was initially stated to convey the autumn detection characteristic to Pixel Watch within the winter. Now, it seems that the characteristic might arrive quickly on the Pixel Watch. Once rolled out, it would work because the Emergency SOS characteristic by making emergency calls to customers’ major contact when detecting a tough fall.
According to a report by 9to5Google, the autumn detection on Pixel Watch has appeared for some customers with the December replace, which has the firmware model RWD9.220429.070. The report says that the characteristic could be seen in Watch’s Settings tab below the Safety & Emergency part. Additionally, there may be a setting within the Pixel Watch app for it.
Google hasn’t introduced the official rollout of the characteristic on Pixel Watch as of now. But as soon as rolled out, the characteristic will let customers make an emergency name to their major contacts when detecting a tough fall. According to Google’s Support page, on detecting a tough fall, the Google Pixel Watch will alert customers and ask them in the event that they wish to name emergency providers.
Notably, to get this characteristic to work in your Pixel Watch, the Watch would wish to have an energetic Wi-Fi connection and be related to Bluetooth to name emergency providers. However, in case your cellphone is just not close by, then the wearable should have an energetic LTE connection to name emergency providers.
Google Pixel Watch obtained its first on-device over-the-air (OTA) replace in December 2022. The OTA replace numbered 18.104.22.1681529637 introduced main fixes and enhancements to the Google Pixel Watch together with a repair every to calls, Settings, Watch Face, and Fitbit Exercise options. It has additionally added a battery-saver toggle button to the Settings menu of the Pixel Watch working Wear OS 3.5.
