Nerf’s Pulse Rifle is unquestionably cool. That the show works, and that it has superior sounds and two forms of ammo, completely made me really feel like a Colonial Marine, even for a brief period of time.

But at virtually $100, this isn’t actually a toy you’re going to run round and play with. It’s a show piece. A every now and then factor. And for that, I believe it’s much less profitable. It ought to include some form of straightforward show stand. And C batteries? That’s very, very annoying. Why not AA or AAA? Something folks have round the home.

But the worst half is—there’s no energy button (that no less than I might discover). So once you’re finished, the show simply stays on, like above. You must take the batteries out to get it to go off. Which means each time you need to play with it, you’ll want to seize the screwdriver and batteries. Very annoying.

Nevertheless, for these three seconds of glory, it’s virtually value it.
