Microsoft is launching a brand new “Hardwear” clothes assortment that features a Windows XP T-shirt. “The collection is reflective of the Normcore style, a lifestyle aesthetic that puts the focus on individuals and not on the clothing they wear,” explains Amanda O’Neal, director of multicultural and social communications at Microsoft. “Every piece is intentional, and there is meaning behind each item in Hardwear.”
The normcore vary additionally contains an MS Paint T-shirt that mimics the unique coloration palette of the app and a “Hardwear” hat with Microsoft’s Nineteen Nineties emblem colorings.
This isn’t Microsoft’s first experiment with clothes, although. Microsoft has been promoting Xbox-branded clothes for years, and the corporate additionally sells a spread of clothes at its firm retailer. Microsoft even began promoting its ugly Windows sweaters in 2020, with MS Paint, Windows XP, Windows 95, and Minesweeper ones obtainable beforehand.
