Microsoft is a planning to make its Windows Terminal the default command line expertise in Windows 11 subsequent 12 months. While Windows 11 at present helps setting Windows Terminal as default, the default terminal emulator has at all times been the Windows Console Host. While this modification received’t have an effect on most Windows customers, builders will quickly see Windows Terminal in the event that they try and launch the Command Prompt. Windows Terminal first appeared in Windows 10 in 2019, following a shock announcement at Microsoft’s annual Build builders convention that 12 months.
