Kazakhstan has blocked entry to Microsoft subsidiary LinkedIn, over what the Central Asian nation’s authorities stated have been on-line on line casino commercials and pretend accounts.

The Ministry of Information and Social Development stated in a press release it had requested LinkedIn to take away the gadgets in query however the firm has did not comply. It stated it could restore entry to the social community as soon as it addresses the complaints.

LinkedIn stated it could look into the considerations raised by the federal government.

“We have clear policies prohibiting ads related to gambling and fake profiles, and are investigating this issue,” a LinkedIn spokesperson stated.

About 720,000 Kazakhs are LinkedIn members, in accordance with Ukraine-based analytics agency Linked-Promo.

In neighbouring Russia with which Kazakhstan has shut political and financial ties, LinkedIn has been blocked since 2016 when Moscow stated the corporate did not switch Russian person information to servers positioned within the nation.
