Ghibli Park will formally open on November 1 2022, with its first section of sights primarily based on the world of Studio Ghibli. The fantastical exhibitions recreate magical settings, areas, and moments from the beloved Miyazaki movies—and just like the artistic studio’s tenets it was in-built naturally open areas to not disturb the forest grounds it’s being constructed on. You’ll encounter the Robot Soldier, Cat Bus, and discover areas that recreate locations just like the World Emporium, the vintage store from Whisper of the Heart and Satsuki and Mei’s House from My Neighbor Totoro. There can even be Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse, an indoor facility that can maintain displays that can take visitors behind the scenes of the studio’s famed movies.
