In a reveal so bonkers that it may solely come from Jennifer Lawrence, the Oscar winner revealed to the New York Times that mega-superstar Adele (one in all her good associates, really) suggested her to not signal on to 2016’s Passengers. “Adele told me not to do it!” Lawrence mentioned to the Times. “She was like, ‘I feel like space movies are the new vampire movies.’ I should have listened to her.”

Personally, I agree. That film was unhealthy information from the second it began getting shopped round. A sci-fi thriller/romance, it facilities round a person who wakes up early from hibernation whereas heading to a different planet on a large colony spaceship. The man—Jim (Chris Pratt)—is desperately lonely and horribly self-obsessed, so he wakes up one other passenger, Aurora (Lawrence), and lies to her about their pods malfunctioning on the similar time. It’s fairly gross, to be trustworthy, and the entire movie is filled with this rampant weirdness.

And it looks as if Lawrence felt that too. When she noticed folks going to Passengers regardless of the shitstorm that critics heaped on it she intimated to the Times that she responded: “I was like, ‘Oh no, you guys are here because I’m here, and I’m here because you’re here. Wait, who decided that this was a good movie?’”

Apparently Lawrence had let her profession get away from her just a little an excessive amount of. Unlike the tether that snapped when Jim tried to enter house with a view to save the spaceship, after which Jim and Aurora get married and dwell their lives alone on a ship for some cause, she was in a position to reel herself again in. Her latest movie, Causeway, is about an American veteran struggling to regulate to life after receiving a traumatic mind harm in Afghanistan—a far cry from Passenger’s mawkish romance.
