The AMC community has been very upfront about being all-in on bringing Anne Rice’s gothic horror universe to TV. First was the superb Interview With the Vampire collection, which premiered final October, after which there’s the decidedly less-excellent Mayfair Witches, which started airing simply this previous Sunday. Now it’s been revealed AMC is already engaged on bringing the 2 collection collectively.
Speaking at at the moment’s Television Critics Awards press occasion, govt producer of each collection Mark Johnson revealed “ongoing conversations” are taking place relating to a crossover: “We very much want to tie the worlds together in a way that makes sense. Of course, they’re [the two series] completely separate on the one hand, but thematically and in terms of how Anne Rice deals with character, we want to find a way to have that flow throughout the various shows.”
Before that, nonetheless, count on somebody from Interview With the Vampire to seem throughout Mayfair Witches’ first eight-episode season. According to Deadline, a personality from Interview will seem on Mayfair as an Easter egg that “connects in a strange way.” That makes it far more complicated than simply having Sam Reid’s Lestat amble by means of the background of a shot, however I assume we’ll see.
