The Delhi High Court has requested Google, YouTube, and Delhi Police to take steps to take away the websites and hyperlinks carrying objectionable pictures and movies of a married lady from the Internet.

Justice Subramonium Prasad made it clear that this was not an adversarial litigation and listed the matter for September 16, whereas asking Google, YouTube, the Centre and Delhi Police Cyber Cell to file their replies to the girl’s plea searching for instructions to them to take away the pictures and movies.

The excessive courtroom’s interim order got here on a petition by the girl searching for instructions to the Centre to dam pornographic websites working beneath pseudo names.

The plea additionally sought instructions to Google block any nude, sexually express or morphed pictures of the girl showing on its websites.

“It is made clear that this is not an adversarial litigation and it is expected that counsel for Google, YouTube, Centre and Cyber Cell of Delhi Police will take necessary steps to remove the sites and links, carrying objectionable photos and videos of the petitioner, from the Internet before the next date of hearing,” the courtroom mentioned.

Central authorities standing counsel Anurag Ahluwalia assured the courtroom that the Union of India will take needed steps for elimination of the websites and hyperlinks from the Internet carrying objectionable pictures and movies of the girl and sought time to file an affidavit.

Advocate Mamta Jha, representing Google and YouTube, submitted that every one the URLs, that are with YouTube, have been eliminated and 10 channels have already been blocked.
