In a tally with the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) this afternoon, Google Fiber customer support employees — collectively employed by Google guardian Alphabet and staffing company BDS Connected Solutions — voted 9 to 1 to type a union. They’ll be represented by the Alphabet Workers Union, an arm of the Communications Workers of America.
Workers on the retailer, which operates out of Kansas City, Missouri, advised Engadget again in January that they had been feeling ignored of essential office conversations, particularly round security and staffing.
