
Representatives from EU international locations have agreed that the European Commission would be the sole enforcer of latest tech guidelines, with a restricted position for nationwide antitrust watchdogs as a substitute of the broader powers hunted for them, officers mentioned on Monday.
EU ministers will formally ratify the settlement on November 25 as a part of the bloc’s frequent place forward of negotiations with EU lawmakers and the Commission on the draft guidelines often known as the Digital Markets Act (DMA) earlier than they’ll develop into regulation.
