One of essentially the most annoying issues about mega-movies franchises like Star Wars or the Marvel Cinematic Universe is that everybody is so hell-bent on maintaining secrets and techniques that the folks engaged on them must lie by way of their tooth in response to even essentially the most banal questions with the obvious solutions. Enter one Kit Harington.

The former Game of Thrones star is taking part in Dane Whitman in director Chloé Zhao’s upcoming Eternals film, a personality who comedian followers and anybody who retains tabs on the MCU is aware of can also be the hero often called the Black Knight. While we don’t know if Whitman begins the film because the Black Knight, or turns into the Black Knight in the course of the film (very presumably in a post-credits scene!), or will get his personal origin story movie, we all know one factor for sure: Harington goes to star as Black Knight in some future Marvel film, whether or not it’s a solo movie, Eternals 2, Avengers: The Legend of Thanos’ Gold, no matter.

And but when requested about his MCU future, Harington has to assert whole ignorance, telling Total Film: “I’ve got no idea whether my character goes on or not. I had read up on who he could be, or might be. So there’s the possibility for a longer trajectory. And hopefully, I think this is the tip of the iceberg for my character. I hope. But I just don’t know, you know? I’m as in the dark as anyone else. And I try not to live too far ahead in the future with anything. Even when I was in Game of Thrones, even on the sixth season, I presumed the seventh season wasn’t going to happen!”

My dude, I promise extra about Dane Whitman’s future than simply about everybody else as a result of it’s already been mapped out. Marvel Studios plans its films up to now upfront as a result of all of them must tie collectively to type a cogent story just like the Infinity Saga, in addition to work with Harington’s filming schedule. Plus, everyone knows Kevin Feige didn’t rent the dude who performed Jon Snow for a bit half in Eternals—he’s an actor you construct a franchise round. Besides, if goddamned Morbius the Living Vampire can get a solo movie, so can the Black Knight.

At this second, Marvel has 4 films scheduled for 2024, together with February 16, May 3, July 26, and November 8. We don’t know what these films are, however Marvel Studios actually is aware of what they’re. And Kit Harington certain as hell is aware of if he’s starring in certainly one of them.

Eternals additionally stars Richard Madden as Ikaris, Angelina Jolie as Thena, Kumail Nanjiani as Kingo, Lauren Ridloff as Makkari, Brian Tyree Henry as Phastos, Salma Hayek as Ajak, Lia McHugh as Sprite, and Don Lee as Gilgamesh. They virtually actually know, too.
