Elon Musk’s Digs at Twitter, Web 3, and NFTs: A Lookback

In the run-up to Tesla Chief Executive Elon Musk’s public disclosure of a $3 billion (roughly Rs. 22,700 crore) stake in Twitter, the billionaire had criticized the microblogging website for failing to stick to free speech ideas and mentioned he was considering constructing a brand new social media platform.

The world’s richest individual previously months has mentioned he’s a free speech absolutist, whereas being vocal in opposition to Web3, a time period for a utopian model of the web that’s decentralized and whose industrial spine is the non-fungible tokens (NFT).

Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey and Musk, although lively proponents of cryptocurrencies, share skepticism across the metaverse, NFTs and Web3, what some deem to be the evolution of the web.
