The Central authorities launched E-Amrit, an online portal on electrical automobiles (EVs), on the ongoing COP26 Summit in United Kingdom’s Glasgow.

According to an announcement issued by the NITI Aayog on Wednesday, E-Amrit is a one-stop vacation spot for all info on electrical automobiles — busting myths across the adoption of EVs, their buy, funding alternatives, insurance policies and subsidies.

“The portal has been developed and hosted by NITI Aayog under a collaborative knowledge exchange programme with the UK government and as part of the UK-India Joint Roadmap 2030, signed by the Prime Ministers of the two countries,” the assertion stated.

E-Amrit intends to enrich initiatives of the federal government on elevating consciousness on EVs and sensitizing customers on the advantages of switching to electrical automobiles.
