
The Central authorities launched E-Amrit, an online portal on electrical automobiles (EVs), on the ongoing COP26 Summit in United Kingdom’s Glasgow.
According to an announcement issued by the NITI Aayog on Wednesday, E-Amrit is a one-stop vacation spot for all info on electrical automobiles — busting myths across the adoption of EVs, their buy, funding alternatives, insurance policies and subsidies.
“The portal has been developed and hosted by NITI Aayog under a collaborative knowledge exchange programme with the UK government and as part of the UK-India Joint Roadmap 2030, signed by the Prime Ministers of the two countries,” the assertion stated.
E-Amrit intends to enrich initiatives of the federal government on elevating consciousness on EVs and sensitizing customers on the advantages of switching to electrical automobiles. In the current previous, India has taken many initiatives to speed up the decarbonisation of transport and the adoption of electrical mobility within the nation. Schemes akin to FAME and PLI are particularly necessary in creating an ecosystem for the early adoption of EVs.
NITI Aayog intends so as to add extra options and introduce revolutionary instruments to make the portal extra interactive and user-friendly.
The launch was attended by UK High-Level Climate Action Champion Nigel Topping and NITI Aayog Adviser Sudhendu Jyoti Sinha.
