NASA’s megarocket designed to hold people to the Moon has reached historic Launch Pad 39B at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. Standing 322 toes tall, the Space Launch System is a powerful sight—one we’ve waited ages to lastly see—as these placing pictures attest.

Space Launch System, NASA’s biggest-ever rocket, started its crawl from the Vehicle Assembly Building to the launch pad yesterday. This is the crucial centerpiece of NASA’s Artemis program, which seeks to land the primary girl and first particular person of shade on the lunar floor later this decade. The uncrewed inaugural mission, Artemis 1, is about to launch this spring or summer season.
